Do you have Questions?

Here's some information that may answer your questions.

Lake Erie Yearly Meeting (LEYM) began in 1939 as an association of Friends (aka Quaker) meetings in Ohio, Michigan, Western Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. It is currently made up of 20 local congregations, called monthly meetings. There are also a number of informal worship groups within LEYM. It is affiliated with Friends General Conference (FGC), a Quaker service organization for unprogrammed Friends in the U.S.

LEYM publishes a regular newsletter known as the LEYM Bulletin.

This year's annual sessions were planned by the Yearly Meeting Planning Committee which includes the Adult & Family Program Committee clerked by Thomas Taylor, the Youth & Children's Committee clerked by Kate Enger and the Arrangements & Site Committee clerked by Jon Sommer. Technical and website design support was provided by Bill Warters, LEYM's webworker, with additional hosting assistance coming from the Ann Arbor Friends Meeting and their Communications Coordinator Rabindar Subbian and Bluffton's Sally Weaver Sommer who will host our Bible Study sessions. Our innovative Minecraft Adventure was developed and supported by Noah Molina and Jonah Brownfain.

The Philadelphia Quaker Meetinghouse image on our cover is courtesy of AFSC. Our lovely session icons come courtesy of Flaticons.com

You can reach out to the Lake Erie Yearly Meeting worker at leymworker@gmail.com. Technical support information for specific workshops and sessions will be provided to registered participants via email.

Information for contacting LEYM Committee clerks is available on the LEYM website here: https://leym.org/contact-information/

Sign up for the LEYM virtual talent show when you register for Annual Meeting. You can pre-record your piece and send it to Kate Enger at psychdrkate@gmail.com. This allows for a wider range of talents, like gymnastics on the backyard apparatus, agility duos with your dog, a short clip of your rock-climbing expertise, a 360 degree view of the sculpture you created, a brief slide show of all the birds you've attracted to your feeder, or a quick tour of your flower garden.

Please keep in mind that a talent doesn't have to be a song or story, it could be turning a somersault, shooting a perfect basket, blowing an enormous bubble, showing that you can slide into the splits, or a photo of the table you restored, sweater you knitted, or a unique pie crust. Thanks to our virtual format, we can weave together brief, interesting, lovely submissions.

Please send Kate your submissions by Thursday, July 16. If you prefer to perform live, please send a description of your piece to Kate at psychdrkate@gmail.com by July 27. Please note: All performances must be under 4 minutes in length, and must be child-friendly. Looking forward to your talents!

T-SHIRTS - Yes, there will be a 2020 T-Shirt (see image below) If you've ordered a shirt via the online registration form or based on the Bulletin Announcement, you'll still need to send a reminder of your size and your mailing address, along with a check for $17 per shirt, to Kate Enger at: 75995 Vandyke Road, New Marshfield, OH 45766. Youth Program leaders and participants do not need to pay for shirts. Shirt orders must have been placed by July 9. Your t-shirt will be mailed to you in hopes that it will arrive in time for you to show it proudly via Zoom. Kate can be contacted via the email psychdrkate@gmail.com.
